May 19, 2020 — Coast Guard Station Charleston routinely performs boat crew member training in order to maintain proficiency that in turn saves lives and ensures the safety of its crew, passengers and the public. Recently they focused on sharpening their skills during a man overboard situation training. Seconds count, if someone goes overboard and it takes a well-trained coxswain and crew to save that person’s life. May 6, 2020 — The 437th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Sortie Support Flight’s Composite Tool Kit Section takes care of the initial steps in ensuring aircraft are maintained and able to execute missions worldwide during the global pandemic. From a single rag to an advanced piece of sophisticated aircraft test equipment, these CTK members ensure tools and assets are serviceable and clean to help ensure JB Charleston’s C-17 Globemaster IIIs keep flying. ... Senior Airman Sean Graves, 437th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Viper Flight Composite Tool Kit Section custodian, sanitizes tools and equipment May 5, 2020, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. The 437th AMXS CTK Section is responsible for the accountability of thousands of pieces of equipment including more than 2,000 tool kits. The CTK team implemented a process where maintainers disinfect their tools prior to turn in. After communicating over radio, tools are sanitized in a designated room used for tool transfer with personnel keeping a six foot distance to help prevent health risks associated with COVID-19.
