Command Post Airmen respond, alert JB CHS to nearby tornadoes

Airman 1st Class Joseph Arnold, an emergency actions controller assigned to the 628th Air Base Wing Command Post, demonstrates how to broadcast a verbal tornado warning with siren simultaneously while using the Giant Voice notification system on the Air Base and Naval Weapons Station at Joint Base Charleston, S.C., April 20, 2020. The tornado warning and siren are used to warn personnel outdoors to seek shelter in the event of a tornado. Arnold is one of several Command and Control Operations specialists who work rotating shifts around the clock to man Palmetto Ops at the command post. The command post remains vigilant and operates 365 days a year to provide command and control support to the base as needed.

JB Charleston chaplains thank Medical Group personnel with a free lunch
