Mission Critical members are defined as military members and their dependents, base residents, mission critical government civilians, and mission critical contractors.

In accordance with DoD policy, “All individuals on DoD property, installations and facilities will wear cloth face coverings when they cannot maintain six feet of social distance in public areas or work centers.”

New Updates Effective 4 Aug:

Starting Aug. 4, 2020, the Joint Base Charleston Child Development Centers/Youth Centers will be providing services for mission-critical personnel. All care needs must be coordinated through the member's unit command.

• Air Base CDC: Monday, 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Tuesday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. You can contact the Air Base CDC at (843) 963-4366.

Regular Operations:

• Commissaries and Exchanges - open normal hours to all eligible patrons
  • DECA requires face coverings in all Commissary facilities
• AAFES Food Services - open normal hours to all eligible patrons - continued carry-out services with reintroduction of limited dine-in seating

• Balfour Beatty privatized housing - routine maintenance services resumed
  • Office hours: Mon-Fri 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. – Note: Office doors are locked, but staff is available to support customers and can be reached by phone or email
• Air Base and Weapons Station Golf Courses - (all eligible patrons)
  • Normal golf operations daily for both Air Base and Weapons Station; 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Motorcycle Safety Course - (all eligible patrons)

  • Family use or groups not exceeding 10 people permitted; playgrounds remain closed

  • Available for family use or groups not exceeding 10 people; tennis balls/racquets shall not be shared
