Team Charleston tests AF’s first hybrid fuel truck
January 26, 2007 — The 437th Logistics Readiness Squadron Fuels Flight is currently testing the Air Force's first R-11 hybrid electric refueling truck. The vehicle, which is nearly identical to the standard R-11 refueling truck, operates with a diesel engine and an electric motor attached to a battery pack to optimize fuel efficiency. AFSO 21 initiative improves mission efficiency
January 26, 2007 — Charleston Air Force Base C-17 aircrews may soon be able to fly longer missions thanks to an Air Force Smart Operations for the 21st Century initiative. January 19, 2007 — Charleston AFB Airmen are now processing all air cargo bound for Iraq. 437 MSG exec goes the distance, then keeps going

Base offers free electronic filing for federal and state tax returns
