Air Force Civil Engineering Maintains Base During COVID-19 Posture

Senior Airman Logan Smith, 628th Civil Engineering Squadron water and fuels systems maintenance specialist, inspects a septic pump system used to ensure waste is properly disposed of on Joint Base Charleston, S.C., May 12, 2020. Water and fuel systems maintenance specialists manage the plumbing, wastewater collection systems, liquid fuel storage and natural gas distribution systems on every base. This maintenance can include the waste systems that keep bases clean and sanitary. Water and fuel system maintainers have kept up operations during the COVID-19 physical distancing posture in order to ensure base cleanliness and the health and wellness of our JB Charleston teammates.

628th Air Base Wing welcomes new commander

CTK Airmen keep tools sharp, maintainers safe during pandemic

Senior Airman Sean Graves, 437th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Viper Flight Composite Tool Kit Section custodian, sanitizes tools and equipment May 5, 2020, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. The 437th AMXS CTK Section is responsible for the accountability of thousands of pieces of equipment including more than 2,000 tool kits. The CTK team implemented a process where maintainers disinfect their tools prior to turn in. After communicating over radio, tools are sanitized in a designated room used for tool transfer with personnel keeping a six foot distance to help prevent health risks associated with COVID-19.

Naval Weapons Station pharmacy continue operations

The NHCC Pharmacy altered their customer service operations to have the primary way to obtain a prescription be through the drive-thru. Pharmacy personnel are protecting patients and themselves by washing their hands every 30 mins, practicing physical distancing, wearing masks and cleaning routinely.

437th AMXS supports aeromedical training, local missions
