David Hoy, 628th LRS Fuels Control Center NCO in charge, a Bronze Star Medal award for his excellence during a deployment to Afghanistan, June 18, 2020 at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. During his deployment, Hoy traveled to various Afghan bases where he would advise on processes involving jet fuels transport and storage. June 20, 2020 — Due to a recent increase in positive COVID-19 cases across the state and in the Charleston area, Joint Base leadership is reassessing the availability of services on the installation. As a result, the installation Child and Youth Programs (CDCs and Youth Centers), AAFES Barber shop, Stylique Salon and the installation libraries will not open on June 22, 2020 as previously announced.
