SQUAD SWAP: 437th AW Conducts Deployment Swap at Al Udeid Air Base
November 4, 2020 — A C-17 Globemaster III aircrew from the 15th Airlift Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, conducted a deployment swap to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, from Joint Base Charleston, S.C., on Oct. 28, 2020. The aircrew was swapping Airmen from 15th AS, who were deploying, and Airmen from the 16th AS, who were returning home after a 90-day deployment. Both C-17 squadrons are assigned to the 437th Airlift Wing at Joint Base Charleston. The aircrew helped service members deploy to Al Udied and returned service members to Joint Base Charleston over a four-day mission which included stops to Ramstein Air Base, Germany, and Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait. ... Army soldiers transport cargo for global transport
November 3, 2020 — Soldiers and civilians assigned to the 841st Transportation Battalion helped transport and receive cargo to support the 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team, Army National Guard in North Carolina, Oct. 29 and 30, 2020. They started the first day at 8:00 a.m. and loaded approximately 100 vehicles onto a vessel. This is one of three shipments going to Southwest Asia in support of the 30th ABCT. ... MORE

Members from the 1189th Transportation Brigade coordinated the movements of tanks that were being offloaded from the ship at Joint Base Charleston’s Naval Weapons Station, S.C., Oct 30, 2020. The 1189th TSB assisted the 841st Transportation Battalion in the offload of cargo supporting the transport of assets to Southwest Asia. The 841st TB facilitates the onward movement for all eastern seaboard cargo movements.

October 29, 2020 — The Department of Defense selected 12 awardees for the National Defense Education Program Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) awards. October 28, 2020 — The Air Force recently announced its 2020 photo contest winners. The winners – first, second and third place in five categories – were among more than 600 entries submitted for the annual contest.
