Civil Engineer Airmen maintain mission readiness
June 10, 2019 — Engineering assistants from the 628th Civil Engineer Squadron out of Joint Base Charleston, S.C. and the 20th CES out of Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., discuss their mission plan during an aircraft crash analysis exercise June 5, 2019, at North Auxiliary Airfield, S.C. The exercise allowed Airmen to enhance their readiness and job knowledge by simulating an on-scene aircraft crash with real world requirements and standards. Air Force engineering assistants have the role of plotting out the positions of all debris pieces using global positioning devices during crash analysis operations. JB Charleston sets up Navy College campus on Naval Weapons Station
June 7, 2019 — The Joint Base Charleston Navy College is slated to start offering college classes in August 2019. The Navy College will be available for all military service members and their families and provide its students the resources to grow their careers and progress toward their education goals. CDC expands childcare capabilities

JB Charleston conducts annual mobile aircraft fire training
May 29, 2019 — Joint Base Charleston’s fire department teamed with the Crash Fire Rescue Marines from Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, S.C., to conduct Joint Mobile Aircraft Fire Training May 27-31, 2019, at JB Charleston’s Fire Department training grounds. This training not only fulfilled an annual requirement for mission capable firefighters but it also highlighted the importance of collaboration between joint mission partners throughout the Lowcountry.
