Senior Airman Daniel Guilian, 437th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew chief, taxis in the final C-17 Globemaster III evacuated from Joint Base Charleston, S.C. Sept. 15, 2017 due to Hurricane Irma’s potential landfall here. More than 20 C-17s were evacuated from JB Charleston by Sept. 9, 2017. Airmen of the 437th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron ensured the relocated C-17s were maintained and prepared to conduct hurricane recovery operations to the South from alternate installations including Scott Air Force Base, Ill.
