Charleston Mayor meets joint base team

The locations Tecklenburg toured included the Naval Health Clinic Charleston, the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command and the 841st Transportation Battalion. Tecklenburg was selected to represent the installation at the Joint Civilian Orientation Conference in August 2017. The mission of JCOC is to increase public understanding of national defense by enabling American business and community leaders to directly observe and engage with the U.S. military.

437th AW maintains global mobility

A C-17 Globemaster III taxis on the runway at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. July 18, 2017.  The C-17 is capable of rapid strategic delivery of troops and all types of cargo to main operating bases or directly to forward bases in a deployment area. The aircraft can perform tactical airlift and airdrop missions and can transport litters and ambulatory patients during aeromedical evacuation.
