MX, CES Airmen perform first of its kind repair in AOR

Airmen of the 8th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (EAMS) and 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron (ECES), work together using an alternative safe method to remove and replace a pitch trim actuator from the tail of a C-17 Globemaster III Dec. 16, 2018, at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. This is the first time a maintenance procedure like this has been done in U.S. Air Forces Central Command’s area of responsibility. Due to safety concerns, Airmen from the 8th EAMS and 379th ECES combined capabilities to ensure the aircraft could be repaired prior to returning to home station. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Foreign Naval officers dive into Air Mobility

A group of Naval War College students, comprised of foreign and joint military officers, stand outside a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft during a Nov. 13, 2018, visit to Joint Base Charleston, S.C. The visit educated naval officers about air mobility operations and was the first time international students from the Naval Command College’s Arleigh Burke Fellowship program had visited JB Charleston. The NCC is part of the U.S. Naval War College, located in Newport, Rhode Island, and focuses on educating and developing future leaders by building strategic and cultural perspective and enhancing the capability to advise senior leaders and policy-makers.
