MX, CES Airmen perform first of its kind repair in AOR
December 31, 2018 — Airmen of the 8th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron teamed up Dec. 16-18, 2018, at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, to replace the pitch trim actuator on a C-17 Globemaster III from Joint Base Charleston, S.C... MORE

Airmen of the 8th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (EAMS) and 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron (ECES), work together using an alternative safe method to remove and replace a pitch trim actuator from the tail of a C-17 Globemaster III Dec. 16, 2018, at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. This is the first time a maintenance procedure like this has been done in U.S. Air Forces Central Command’s area of responsibility. Foreign Naval officers dive into Air Mobility
November 16, 2018 — Approximately 56 foreign and joint military officers from 52 foreign naval services from around the world visited Joint Base Charleston Nov. 13, 2018, to learn about the mission and capabilities of Air Mobility Command as well as JB Charleston’s role as the gateway to the Atlantic. This is the first time international students from the Naval Command College’s Arleigh Burke Fellowship have visited JB Charleston. The program is one of several at the NCC, which is part of the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. It is the Navy’s flagship senior developmental education program, focusing on educating and developing future leaders by building strategic and cultural perspective—as well as trust, confidence and cooperation—between American and international officers. ... New leader assumes command of 628th Air Base Wing

Adams replaced Col. Jeff Nelson as commander of the wing and joint base after serving at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., as Air Mobility Command’s director of communications and chief information officer.
