JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. –
The 437th Airlift Wing deployed a C-17 Globemaster III and approximately 20 Airmen assigned to the 15th Airlift Squadron on April 28 from Joint Base Charleston, S.C.
The Airmen deployed to the Middle East in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, aiding operations in Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
“We are all very proud of our Airmen,” said U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Jacob Niedblaski, 15th AS C-17 pilot. “For many of them, this is their first deployment. They have worked very hard to get to this point and they’re ready. We are sending the best of the best.”
The precise, flexible and responsive air mobility capability provided by the 437th AW backs U.S. resolve and promotes worldwide stability.
“The Eagles are ready to deliver mobility operations worldwide,” said U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Robert Moore, 15th AS commander. “I know they’ll continue to provide safe and reliable airlift. I’m proud of them! We have a strong network back home to support their families and loved ones through this deployment. Eagles lead the way!”
