Staff Sgt. Gary Horn administers a pulmonary function test to Mary Surface at the Charleston AFB medical clinic May 15. During the first quarter of 2009, he assisted in providing in-house care to 13,085 patients. Sergeant Horn was recently awarded the Purple Heart after a deployment to the Middle East and is a medical technician with the 437th Medical Group.
