The 373rd TRS Det. 5 is responsible for C-17 Globemaster III initial skills crew chief training (Type 3), Advanced skills technical training (Type 4), International training, the only U.S. Air Force C-17 Trainer Development Team for crew chiefs.

Yankees outfielder hosts potluck for 15th AS

Gardner is a Charleston native who lives here during his off-season from baseball. Gardner visited Joint Base Charleston to boost morale and offer thanks to military men and women who are serving. Gardner and his wife toured a C-17 Globemaster III and provided lunch for the squadron.

In the event of a real world incident, members would be given a flu vaccine if they hadn’t already received one, as well as medication to combat the outbreak. To simulate that, those who participated in the exercise were given the vaccination and candy to represent the medication.

Coast Guard demonstrates rescue readiness

The floatation device, equipped with a GPS, is being deployed during a man overboard training exercise to record the rescue time. The goal is to accomplish a successful rescue in less than two minutes.
