Soldiers from the 414th Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Area Support Company and the 409th Area Support Medical Company, setup temporary treatment facilities during a mass casualty and decontamination exercise at North Auxiliary Airfield in North, South Carolina Jan. 10, 2017. Both units work hand-in-hand to setup a treatment center capable of decontaminating and caring for victims of a CBRN attack within two and a half hours of arriving on scene. MacDill KC-135s conclude temporary relocation at JB Charleston

New equipment could save AMC millions

A High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle was tied down with both the existing tiedowns and new synthetic tiedowns to conduct a side by side demonstration during an operational evaluation on Joint Base Charleston, Nov. 28 and 29. The evaluation was a culmination of an Air Force Research Labs, Advanced Power Technology Office, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, initiative to reduce aircraft weight by almost 1,000 pounds for better fuel efficiency.

U.S. Marine Staff Sgt. Ruben Barnett, U.S. Naval Consolidated Brig Charleston correctional specialist, and his son, Ruben received gifts from BAE Systems at his new home Dec. 21, 2016. Barnett and his son lost all of their belongings in a house fire the day before Thanksgiving. BAE Systems and Operation Homefront host a campaign called the Joy of Giving where they sponsor a family in need during the holiday season.
