Joint Base Charleston recognized for Afghanistan evacuation efforts
November 29, 2021 — U.S. Air Force Col. Marc Greene, 628th Air Base Wing and Joint Base Charleston commander, was honored during a council meeting at Charleston City Hall, South Carolina, Oct. 12, 2021. John Tecklenburg, Mayor of Charleston, presented Greene with a Proclamation honoring the actions of JB Charleston Airmen during the Afghanistan evacuations. Don’t pollute: Keep storm drains toxin free

When storm drains get clogged, storm water collects in the streets and can become a traffic hazard. Yes, they are fun to splash in, but they can be dangerous to drive through and local governments have to send out crews to unclog the storm drains, costing money that could otherwise be used to buy playground equipment, fire trucks, or perhaps to hire extra policeman.
