The robot is one of three that was on display for the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Media Day held at the squadron to help teach people what it is that EOD does. The robot is used to safely approach explosives and is equipped with lights, an extra set of treads to balance the robot when the arm is extended and a hand to grasp and move objects that can apply up to 50 pounds of pressure.
