Navy honors Ombudsmen

Timothy Sparks, Joint Base Charleston deputy commander, thanks JB Charleston – Weapons Station’s tenant command Ombudsmen for their dedication and support during an Ombudsman Appreciation Luncheon Sept. 20, 2013 at the Redbank Club at JB Charleston – Weapons Station. Jeffrey DeVore during the JB Charleston Change of Command ceremony, Aug. 29, 2013, at JB Charleston – Air Base. DeVore, previously the commander of the 386th Expeditionary Operations Group, Southwest Asia, officially assumed command from Col. Richard McComb  during the change of command ceremony. McComb will be assuming duties at the Pentagon, Washington D.C. As the JB Charleston commander, McComb provided installation support to a total force of more than 86,000 Airmen, Sailors, Soldiers, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, civilians, dependents and retirees across both the Air Base and Weapons Station. POW-MIA Run

Scott Boone, 315th Security Forces Squadron security forces operations superintendent runs with the United States Air Force flag during the POW/MIA Run Sept. 20, 2013, at Joint Base Charleston – Air Base, S.C. Different units from the joint base carried the flag for 30-minute increments from 3:30 p.m. Sept. 19 to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 20 in honor of all POWs and MIAs.
