Charleston celebrates 100 years of Navy Reserve

The USS Shamal, a coastal patrol ship, is ported near the Waterfront Park March 7, 2015, at North Charleston, S.C., during the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Naval Reserve. JB Charleston civilians graduate Civilian Management Development Course

Twenty-five civilians from Joint Base Charleston graduated from a Civilian Management Development Course Feb.27, 2015 at the Charleston Club, JB Charleston, S.C. The course, conducted by Dale Carnegie Training, is the first of its kind offered to JB Charleston civilians. The 25 civilians were hand-selected and provided input to the Dale Carnegie Training team as to what type of training they would like to receive. Based on the feedback provided, Dale Carnegie Training developed a management leadership course that is four sessions long and covered topics such as communication skills and stress reduction. The event was held as an open discussion about the differences between restricted and unrestricted reporting of sexual assault cases.
