16th Airlift Squadron aircrew members disembark from the first C-17 Globemaster III returning to Joint Base Charleston on Oct. 11 after evacuating for Hurricane Matthew. JB Charleston aircraft evacuated to four different locations: Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana; Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio; Fort Campbell, Kentucky and Thompson Field in Jackson, Mississippi, where the aircraft were able to perform various rapid mobility missions.
