Charleston AFB breaks C-17 flying record
December 21, 2006
Twenty U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster IIIs fly over Charleston, S.C., Dec. 21, 2006.  The C-17s, assigned to the 437th and 315th Airlift Wings at Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., were part of the largest C-17 formation in history from a single base and demonstrated the strategic airdrop capability of the U.S. Air Force.
