Col. Consuella Pocket and Chief Master Sgt. Stephanie Burroughs present Senior Airman Terry Coates the John Levitow award during the Airman Leadership School graduation June 23 at Joint Base Charleston - Air Base. The John Levitow award is presented to the Airman that displays the best overall performance evaluation, peer to staff rating and academic ranking while attending ALS, a six-week course designed to develop Airman into effective leaders and supervisors. Submariners celebrate 111 years of service

Charleston area submariners recently celebrated 111 years of service at the Submarine Ball June 18 at Trident Technical College's banquet facility. Cutting the ceremonial cake (left to right) are Capt. Tom Bailey, Capt. Ralph Ward, Cmdr. Mark Schmitt, World War II veteran William Jones, Yeoman Second Class Flores and WOrld War II veteran Stacy Powers. Captain Bailey is the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command commanding officer, Captain Ward is the Joint Base Charleston deputy commander and Commander Schmitt is the director of Nuclear Field "A" school. YN2 Flores was the youngest submarine qualified member in attendance.

C-17 crew meets S.C. governor in Paris

and had the opportunity to meet with members of the 437th Maintenance and
Operations Groups that flew a Joint Base Charleston C-17 to France to
participate in the world-renowned Paris Air Show. Pictured with the

628 CPTS participating in AMC Rodeo
June 22, 2011 — Three Airmen from the 628th Comptroller Squadron practice once a week for the 2011 edition of Air Mobility Rodeo, sponsored by Air Mobility Command, which is set to take place July 24 to 29 on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
