841st moves the heavy gear

A 70-ton crane gets into position to lift a disabled tank onto a railcar at Joint Base Charleston - Weapons Station Oct. 21. The 841st Transportation Battalion, which is responsible for moving re-deploying cargo that is off-loaded at JB Charleston, loaded 44 track vehicles onto 22 railcars for shipment to multiple locations across the United States.The 841st is a subordinate unit of the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command and conducts surface deployment distribution and water terminal operations along the Atlantic Seaboard.
