Command Master Chief Frederick J. Tuiel

Command Master Chief Tuiel was born and raised in Arcadia, LA., and graduated from Arcadia High School in 1998. In May 1999, he enlisted in the Navy and attended RTC in Great Lakes, IL.

 

Command Master Chief Tuiel’ s first permanent assignment was onboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) in Norfolk, VA where he served as an Interior Communication Electrician and later converted to Electrician Mate. After being advanced to Electrician Mate Second Class under the Command Advancement Program, he selected his first shore duty assignment orders to recruiting duty. In July 2004, he reported to Navy Recruiting Orientation Unit in Pensacola, FL., and reported to Navy Recruiting District Atlanta in August 2004 for assignment in duty at NRS Smyrna, GA. In September 2005 he was assigned as the Recruiter in Charge of NRS Smyrna and was shortly promoted to Electrician Mate First Class under the Recruiter Excellence Incentive Program (REIP).

 

In July 2007, Command Master Chief Tuiel reported to USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) as Electrical Division, Leading Petty Officer. In March 2008, he was assigned as Watch Commander of Security Forces onboard USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) where he coordinated the planning and security with U.S. Secret Service to provide security detail for the 41st and 43rd President of the United States of America during the commissioning ceremony.

 

From November 2009 to May 2022, was assigned to Commander, Navy Recruiting Command where he served at the following commands: Navy Recruiting District Houston (DLCPO), Navy Recruiting District San Diego (DLCPO), Navy Recruiting District Philadelphia (ACR/CR), Chief Recruiter at Navy Talent Acquisition Group Pittsburgh, and Chief Recruiter at Navy Talent Acquisition Group Carolina. In 2022, Command Master Chief Tuiel reported to Electronic Attack Squadron ONE THREE THREE where he finished the 2022 INDOPACOM Deployment, and 2024 INDOPACOM/CENTCOM deployment with USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) and Carrier Strike Group 3 (CSG-3). VAQ-133 was awarded the 2022 Chief of Naval Operations Safety “S” award, Battle “E”, 2023 Admiral Arthur W. Radford award and first carrier arrested landing with the Navy’s newest weapon system, ALQ-249.

 

He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 203 (Brown) and CMC/COB Class 221, and CMC-Major Command Class 25110 . He has earned his Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Associates of Arts degree from University of Phoenix, a Bachelor of Science in Management from University of Phoenix and Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Trident University International.

 

Command Master Chief Tuiel’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), Meritorious Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and various unit and service awards. He has earned the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist devices.
