Team Charleston spells out cargo capability with chalks

Exercise Bonny Jack was a two-day mobility exercise testing the cargo deployment capabilities of the 437th Airlift Wing. Members of Team Charleston conducted 24-hour operations for the exercise to move 95 short tons of cargo.

628th MDG goes to nuclear power school

During the event members of the 628th MDG demonstrated what they learned by sharing challenges which could have been avoided by following the principles NPTU currently uses.

Community unites after fire destroys Marine’s home

U.S. Marine Staff Sgt. Ruben Barnett, U.S. Naval Consolidated Brig Charleston correctional specialist, and his son, Ruben received gifts from BAE Systems at his new home Dec. 21, 2016. Barnett and his son lost all of their belongings in a house fire the day before Thanksgiving. BAE Systems and Operation Homefront host a campaign called the Joy of Giving where they sponsor a family in need during the holiday season.

Wing Leadership receives annual flu shots

Sarah Woods, right, 628th Medical Group (MDG) NCO in charge of the allergy and immunizations clinic, Oct. 21. The 628th MDG began offering the flu shot to active-duty service members, children from ages three to 17 and high-risk adults Oct. 17. Beginning Nov. 1, the influenza vaccine is available to all DoD beneficiaries. Additionally, the Air Base Exchange will offer a flu line on Nov. 19 from 1000 to 1300.
