628th Medical Group Pharmacy remodel improves customer experience

— When Maj. Amanda E. Ferguson assumed her position as 628th Medical Group’s Pharmacy Flight commander in August 2017, she was determined to engage her team and unlock their innovative potential, a goal she shared that year in an article entitled, “70 years: Our Legacy through Airmen’s Eyes.” In it, Ferguson wrote, “The opportunity to lead [Airmen] and watch their ideas ignite one after the other is by-far the best part of my job.” Last month, their vision came to fruition. After 12 months of deliberate planning, coordination and execution, the 628 MDG’s customers will enjoy expedited service for active duty and those seen in-clinic, an advanced automated check-in services through an IT system called Q-flow, expedited pick-up process through the use of a new IT system called GSL, a streamlined layout redesign, access to compounding therapy, more therapeutic options, text notification in lieu of waiting, and even optimized robots for filling prescriptions...
