JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Joshua Pasamonte, 628th Civil Engineering Squadron pavement and equipment journeyman, operates a forklift to place concrete barriers at various entry points during Combat Readiness Exercise 2026 at Joint Base Charleston, Jan. 14, 2026. Under the surveillance of inspector generals and the Wing Inspection Team, exercises like the CRE enable personnel to identify key areas of improvement necessary to effectively operate Joint Base Charleston as the premier power projection platform.
