Misty Gilbert, a spouse of U.S. Coast Guard Sector Charleston Boatswain’s mate who works as a nanny, is awarded the Certificate of Merit July 7, 2020, during a virtual recognition ceremony in Summerville, S.C. According to the Red Cross, the Certificate of Merit is the highest award given by the Red Cross to individuals who save or sustain a life using skills learned in a Red Cross Training Services course.

JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - Misty Gilbert, a spouse of U.S. Coast Guard Sector Charleston Boatswain’s mate who works as a nanny, is awarded the Certificate of Merit July 7, 2020, during a virtual recognition ceremony in Summerville, S.C.
