JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - Maj. Amanda Ferguson, 628th Medical Group Pharmacy Flight commander, pauses in the newly renovated pharmacy facilities. Her vision of a remodel was recently completed, the goal of which is to make their patients' experiences better, faster and easier than in the past. After 12 months of deliberate planning, coordination and execution of the renovation, the 628 MDG’s customers will now enjoy expedited service for active duty and those seen in-clinic, advanced automated check-in services through an IT system called Q-flow, expedited pick-up process through the use of a new IT system called GSL, a streamlined layout redesign, access to compounding therapy, more therapeutic options, text notification in lieu of waiting, and even optimized robots for filling prescriptions.
