JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - Master-at-Arms Petty Officer 3rd Class Adam Bolas, Coastal Riverine Squadron 10 Bravo 2nd Platoon, fires a 50 caliber machine gun outfitted with blank fire adapters March 14, 2019, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. – Naval Weapons Station. During the maritime exercise, the CRS demonstrated tactical team movements, blank firing drills, entry control point drills and simulated enemy fire, among other security skillsets on the Cape Douglas, a logistics Naval vessel. The training was integrated between CRS 10 Bravo 1st Platoon and CRS 10 Bravo 2nd Platoon. The primary mission of the CRS is to conduct maritime security operations across all phases of military operations by defending high value assets, critical maritime infrastructure, ports and harbors, both inland and on coastal waterways. CRS can also conduct offensive combat operations in harbors, rivers, bays, across the littorals and ashore.
