Mount Pleasant, S.C. - Members of Patriots Point’s maintenance staff use a crane to bring the two main landing gear and nose gear wheel and tire assemblies up to the main deck of the USS Yorktown, where the B-25 is located at the Patriots Point Maritme Museum in Mount Pleasant, S.C. When the tires on the World War II-era plane needed replacement in February 2019, members of Joint Base Charleston, S.C., volunteered their time and used their knowledge of C-17 Globemaster III tire maintenance to create a successful method of changing the tires on the World War II-era plane.
