Mount Pleasant, S.C. - One of the main landing gear tires for a B-25 bomber at Patriots Point Maritime Museum in Mount Pleasant, S.C., signed by members of the 437th Maintenance Squadron Aero Repair/Wheel and Tire Shop at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. Members of JBC came to the aid of Patriots Point in February 2019 when the tires on a B-25 at the museum needed replacement. They and other members of Joint Base Charleston volunteered their time and used their knowledge of C-17 Globemaster III tire maintenance to create a successful method of changing the tires on the World War II-era bomber.
