JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - A ribbon-cutting ceremony reopens The Dive March 1, 2019, on the Joint Base Charleston Naval Weapons Station. Participating in the grand reopening are, left to right: Dr. Robert Frash, College of Charleston associate professor; Lt. Col. William Parker, 628th Force Support Squadron commander; Col. Terrence Adams, 628th Air Base Wing and Joint Base Charleston commander; U.S. Navy Capt. Andrew Peterson, Navy Nuclear Power Training Command commander; U.S. Air Force Capt. Steven Braddick, 628th Civil Engineer Squadron engineering element chief; and Gunther Greimel, The Dive general manager. The Dive shut down in April 2018 for renovations and upgrades. The new and improved facility offers more space and services, food and beverage options and a stage for local bands to perform.
