JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - Children pose for a group picture with a Tree City USA banner after assisting natural resources staff plant a Live Oak tree at the Joint Base Charleston Naval Weapons Station Child Development Center during the base’s Arbor Day celebration, held annually on Dec. 7. Keith Thompson, 628th Civil Engineer Squadron conservation program manager, and Alan Hill, base forester from the 628th Civil Engineer Squadron, spoke to the students about the importance of trees in our communities.
