JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - A Soldier from the 1st Infantry Division takes the chains off a military vehicle Dec. 10, 2018 at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. The 841st and the 1st Infantry Division from Ft. Riley, Kan., worked together to receive, document, organize and ship over 2,400 pieces of equipment in support of Atlantic Resolve, a demonstration of continued U.S. commitment to NATO allies and partner nations in Eastern Europe, which involves a regular rotation of equipment and forces . The 841st was the logistics hub to receive 10 trains and line haul equipment as part of Atlantic Resolve’s ongoing mission. The 1st ID will deploy with more than 3,500 Soldiers around the end of January with approximately 85 Abrams tanks, 135 Bradley Fighting and Fire Support Vehicles, 15 Paladins and other support equipment.
