Sandrea Hershey, center left, 14 years old, her mother Lori Hershey, left, and friend Justin Pippin, center, follow Capt. The event was hosted by the 628th Air Base Wing and 437th AW.  Hershey was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and spent approximately 170 days in a hospital. Despite her diagnosis Hershey kept up with her school work and finished her last treatment last month. Sandrea, her mother and her friend, were also able to meet 628th Security Forces Squadron Phoenix Raven members, observed a military working dog demonstration and test their piloting skills in a C-17 flight simulator.
