MCCRADY TRAINING CENTER, SOUTH CAROLINA - Airmen receive weapon familiarization in the Engagement Skills Trainer, a virtual training system. The EST provided fundamentals training and offered the opportunity to experience virtual scenarios at McCrady Army National Guard Training Center, Eastover, South Carolinar March 7, 2017. The EST saves countless dollars on ammunition annually and provides a safe, yet realistic, alternative to live rounds. Thirty Airmen from Joint Base Charleston attended the weeklong war skills training that taught land navigation, combat casualty care, improvised explosive device identification procedures, hand-to-hand combat skills and team building exercises.
