Senior Airman Daniel Johnston, 1st Combat Camera Squadron aerial combat broadcaster, rests on a field at during a 2.2 mile ruck march at Joint Base Charleston, S.C., Jan. 29, 2015. The ruck march was conducted in preparation for their annual validation exercise which evaluates their ability to survive and operate in an austere environment. This ruck was dedicated to former 1 CTCS commander, Col. Aaron Burgstein, who passed away Jan. 27, 2015. Burgstein commanded the squadron from July 2009 to July 2012.
