The 1st CFC Awareness Zombie Run is taking place this Friday, October 31st at the Joint Base Charleston – Air Base Fitness Center.  The show time is 0715 with a start time of 0730.

The 1st CFC Awareness Zombie Run is taking place this Friday, Oct. 31st at the Joint Base Charleston – Air Base Fitness Center. The show time is 0715 with a start time of 0730. The run is approximately 1.7 miles in length consisting of three zombie contaminated areas where each runner will need to traverse quickly while safely trying to stay alive (each runner will be issued two flags signifying two lives and attach to themselves). Runners will have the option of not receiving flags and completing the run without being hindered by zombies. This is a fun run intended to "raises awareness and support our community in conjunction with the Combined Federal Campaign". Pledge sheets for CFC will be available and we will be accepting cash donations for CFC charities as well. All active duty, dependents, retirees, civilians, and contractors are welcome and encouraged to participate in the run and dress festively! Prizes will be awarded to the two fastest survivors, the best dressed zombie, and the zombie with the most kills. Refreshments will be provided post-run. Please come out and support the CFC and your community. It will be scary good time! PLEASE NOTE: This event be an alternate location for many units physical fitness requirement for this week.
