Technical Sgt. Michael Ellard from the 628th Air Base Wing poses for a picture on Charleston AFB Jan. 16. Sergeant Ellard is the superintendent for the base command post whose primary duties are to implement policies, support management objectives that enable Charleston to complete their mission, manage training, career development, morale, fitness and mobility readiness. Since the earthquake Sergeant Ellard stated that command post duties have increased by 50 percent since the Haiti operations have commenced. Sergeant Ellard stated that supporting the Haiti mission is very rewarding and gives him a great sense of accomplishment to see how what he is doing directly affects the mission.
