Attendees of the World War II Hanger Dance on the USS Yorktown in Mount Pleasant, S.C., light candles in honor of a veteran or someone who is currently serving in the military March 13, 2010. All proceeds from the event go toward the Honor Flight program. The flights leave from various cities around the United States and take World War II veterans to Washington D.C. for a day of sightseeing, remembering and honoring among its numerous memorials.
