U.S. Air Force Maj. Brian Nicosia conducts training in the C-17 simulator on Joint Base Charleston, S.C., June 21, 2010. Major Nicosia is the chief of tactics with the Heavy Airlift Wing at Papa Air Base, Hungary, and is visiting JB CHS for quarterly pilot training. The Heavy Airlift Wing stood up approximately one year ago, and Major Nicosia fills a unique position as a U.S. C-17 pilot assigned to the unit.
