World War II veterans are presented the colors during a visit to the World War II memorial in Washington D.C., June 23, 2010. The trip, designed through the Honor Flight Network Program, does not charge the veterans anything but their time. The Honor Flight Network Program's philosophy is since "America felt it was important to build a memorial to honor her veterans, the Honor Flight Network believes it's equally important that they actually get to visit and experience their memorial."
