Staff Sgt. John Foster announces the winner of the M-9 shoot off at the Combat Arms Training and Maintenance range facility opening ceremony Aug. 31, 2010, on Joint Base Charleston, S.C. Nine military participants shot off three magazines at varying distances and times from seven meters in 10 seconds, 15 meters in 12 seconds, and 25 meters in 15 seconds. The winner of the competition was Chief Master Sergeant Garth Freund from the 628th Security Forces Squadron with a score of 281 hits out of a possible 300.
