The Air Force's 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year are introduced at the Air Force Association's dinner honoring them Sept. 13, 2010, in National Harbor at Oxon Hill, Md. Joining the group as one of the 12 was Senior Airman Samuel Siewert from Joint Base Charleston. Airman Siewert was selected as Airman of the Year at the base, numbered Air Force and major command-level before his selection for the Air Force-level award in late-July. The dinner was one of many events honoring the Airmen during the AFA's Air and Space Conference and Technology Exposition. Airman Siewert is a driver operator with the 628th Civil Engineer Squadron.
