Airmen deployed to the Middle East assist in displaying more than 350 flags which were flown over the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility Sept. 11, 2010, in a C-17 Globemaster III by members of the 16th Airlift Squadron as a tribute and memorial to the lives lost in the 2001 attacks.  The flags were donated and flown for a variety of different individuals or organizations around the world such as fire departments, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion as well as for families and friends of those on base.
