JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. (February 22, 2011) Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class Jason Roxey, a VITA Tax Center volunteer, looks over tax documents for Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class James Womack as he fills out a tax form at Joint Base Charleston-Weapons Station, Feb. 22.  The VITA tax center, in building 206 on JB Charleston-WS, is open Tuesday through Friday 7a.m. to 7p.m. and on Saturdays from 9a.m. to 3p.m. The VITA tax center is for Active duty, Reserve, and dependants that need assistance filling their federal and state taxes and are assisted on a walk-in basis, no appointments required.  The JB Charleston- Air Base tax center is located at 205 South Davis drive, building 246, room 125, and takes appointments from 8a.m. to 3p.m..
