More than 200 Airmen, Sailors, civilians and dependents from Joint Base Charleston participated in the 2012 Joint Base Charleston Motorcycle Safety Event March 23 and 24 throughout the Lowcountry. After a motorcycle safety brief, motorcyclist attended the Seventh Annual Palmetto Police Motorcycle Rodeo, participated in a motorcycle safety course and a mentorship ride to Short Stay, the Navy’s Outdoor Recreation Area. The event provided motorcyclists with information about safe riding, motorcycle laws in South Carolina, military regulations and proper riding equipment.
