The Swami is back, and better than ever!

By The Swami Football guru

The incredible all-knowing, self-professed king of all football has made his triumphant return back to the Lowcountry!

The great one just completed a grueling tour of all 32 National Football League training camps to personally scout and rank this year's squads. With this wealth of knowledge now stored into my super genius-rated brain, I can now wreak havoc on all the amateur football prognosticators who dare challenge me this year.

Can Bret Favre make the Jets soar? Can the G-men repeat as Super Bowl champs? Will the Patriots avenge their Super Bowl loss? Will my beloved Steelers, who were dealt the NFL's toughest schedule, return to Super Bowl form? Will this be the year the Dallas Cowboys break their 11-year winless playoff drought? And lastly, will Mindy "Steelers Fan" McCormick successfully defend her prestigious Swami Cup?

The anointed one knows the answers to these and many other burning questions heading into the regular season, do you? Now for the rules ... to be eligible to win the overall championship, you must enter at least 12 weeks during the season. The total score of the weekly Monday night game will serve as the tie breaker in the event multiple contestants have the same number of victories. All entries must be received prior to kick-off of the early games on Sunday to be valid.

Since the season gets under way on Thursday night I will give everyone a win so you can relax and enjoy it without having to sweat bullets knowing I am already a game ahead of you. Now, on to the first edition of my stone-cold, steel-pipe lock, liquidate-your-401K-guaranteed winning predictions.
