Bartley prevails in an upset filled Week 6

By The Swami Football guru

Beth Bartley (9-5) claimed the Week 6 title by virtue of the Monday Night Football tiebreaker edging the contestant known only as "Symbol," "Super" Dave Linquist, Louis "first" Class, and "you can call me" Al Urrutia who all also posted 9-5 marks.

This week saw many upsets including the Rams getting their first win at Washington, the Giants getting their first loss at Cleveland and the over rated Cowboys who fell to the "Desert Birds" in Arizona.

Speaking of the Cowboys, do you know why Michael Irvin cannot be in the Cowboy huddle anymore? It's a parole violation for him to associate with known felons!

My "stink out loud" award for the week belongs to the Detroit Lions who remained winless. The Lions are a veteran team; unfortunately, most of them are veterans of World War II.

This proved to be a very tough week and, therefore, I will not have a "cellar dweller dunce cap" award winner as the week's worst record was 6-8 and was shared by several entrants.

Now, without further delay, I will unveil my Week 8 stone-cold, steele-pipe, borrow-against-your-401K, fearless and soon-to-be world-famous guaranteed winning predictions. Please e-mail your picks to 437MXS.swami@charleston.af.mil prior to the early game kickoffs Oct. 26.
